The Milwaukee Mile is the oldest continuously operating motor speedway in the world, with its first automobile race held in 1903. Located at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, the 1-mile flat paved oval began its life as a horse racing track in 1876. Its long and storied history includes hosting races for virtually every major American racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and USAC. The track's flat layout, with minimal banking, places a heavy emphasis on braking and handling, making it a unique challenge compared to other mile-long ovals. After a period of uncertainty, the track has seen a revival in recent years, once again hosting NASCAR and ARCA series events, preserving its incredible legacy.
