Track Details

Formerly known as Atlanta Motor Speedway, this track in Hampton, Georgia, has been a fixture on the NASCAR circuit since its opening as Atlanta International Raceway in 1960. For decades, it was a traditional 1.54-mile quad-oval known for its aged, abrasive surface that produced high tire wear and thrilling, multi-groove racing. In 1997, the track was reconfigured, flipping the start/finish line to its current location. A more dramatic transformation occurred in 2021 when the track was completely repaved and re-profiled with 28-degree banking, the steepest of any intermediate track in NASCAR. This change was designed to create Daytona and Talladega-style pack racing, resulting in tight, drafting-dependent competition and dramatic, close finishes, including one of the closest three-wide finishes in NASCAR history in 2024. The track was rebranded to EchoPark Speedway in 2025.
