Track Details

Opened in 2013 as Kern County Raceway Park, this modern facility was built to replace the beloved but closed Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, California. The complex features a high-speed half-mile paved oval and a 1/3-mile clay oval. The half-mile track, with its progressive 12-to-14-degree banking, is a regular host for the ARCA Menards Series West and the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. In 2023, the track was acquired by new ownership and renamed Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway in honor of the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion and Bakersfield native. The facility stands as one of California's premier short tracks, continuing the rich legacy of racing in the region.
