Sonoma Raceway

Set in the beautiful wine country of Northern California, Sonoma Raceway is a premier road racing facility that opened in 1968. The full road course is a 2.52-mile, 12-turn circuit defined by its significant elevation changes, technical corners, and the challenging 'Carousel' and 'Esses' sections. For its annual NASCAR Cup Series race, the track has often used a shorter 1.99-mile layout that bypasses the Carousel, creating a more compact and action-packed event. Sonoma has been a staple on the NASCAR calendar since 1989 and also hosts the IndyCar Series season finale, NHRA drag racing, and a wide variety of sports car and motorcycle events, making it one of the busiest and most versatile motorsports venues in the United States.
