Opened in 2003 on the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama, Barber Motorsports Park is a testament to meticulous design and aesthetic beauty, earning it the nickname 'The Augusta National of Motorsports'. The vision of founder George Barber, the 880-acre park was built to showcase his world-renowned collection of motorcycles, housed in the adjacent Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. The 2.38-mile, 17-turn road course was designed by Alan Wilson and is a technical masterpiece, featuring dramatic elevation changes, blind crests, and a variety of challenging corners that flow seamlessly through the immaculately landscaped grounds. The track is known for its smooth surface and park-like setting, complete with unique sculptures and art installations. Barber is the home of the IndyCar Series' Grand Prix of Alabama and also hosts MotoAmerica Superbike races and various sports car events, serving as a premier destination for both competitors and spectators.
