The LA Coliseum Raceway is a temporary, purpose-built quarter-mile asphalt short track constructed inside the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This innovative concept was introduced by NASCAR in 2022 to host the Busch Light Clash, the annual preseason exhibition race for the Cup Series. The event marked a return of major auto racing to the iconic stadium, which hosted midget and off-road races decades prior. The creation of a modern racetrack inside a venue that opened in 1923 and has hosted two Olympic Games represented a bold move to bring NASCAR action to the heart of a major urban market.
