Silverstone Circuit is the "Home of British Motorsport", a historic venue built on the site of a former Royal Air Force bomber station from World War II. The track hosted the first-ever Formula 1 World Championship race on May 13, 1950. The current 5.891 km (3.660-mile) Grand Prix circuit is one of the fastest in the world, renowned for its high-speed, sweeping corners like Maggots, Becketts, and Chapel, which form one of the most thrilling sequences in racing.
