Track Details

Kokomo Speedway is a quarter-mile, semi-banked clay oval in Kokomo, Indiana, that has been in operation since 1947. Originally built with midget racing in mind, it has evolved into one of the premier venues for non-wing sprint car racing, earning the nickname "Indiana's Baddest Bullring." The track has a rich history, having hosted legends like A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, and Tony Stewart. In 2004, the track was reconfigured from a flat layout to its current wider, semi-banked shape, enhancing the racing action. Its marquee event is the Sprint Car Smackdown, a multi-day event held each August that attracts the best non-wing sprint car drivers in the country to compete for a significant purse and immense prestige.
