Track Details

Known as "The World's Fastest Half Mile," Volusia Speedway Park is a high-banked dirt oval in Barberville, Florida. The track has a dynamic history, opening in 1968 as a 1/4-mile dirt track and undergoing several expansions and even a period as a paved oval before being converted back to dirt in 1997. Its location and timing make it a crucial part of the winter racing season. Each February, it hosts the DIRTcar Nationals, a multi-week spectacle that brings together the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, and the Super DIRTcar Series for their season-opening events, attracting top teams and drivers from across the country to escape the northern winter.
