Track Details

Known as "The Tricky Triangle," Pocono Raceway is one of the most unique facilities in motorsport. Located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, the 2.5-mile superspeedway opened in 1969 and is famous for its three distinct turns, each modeled after a corner from a different racetrack. Turn 1 has 14 degrees of banking (inspired by the old Trenton Speedway), Turn 2, also known as the "Tunnel Turn," has 9 degrees of banking (inspired by Indianapolis Motor Speedway), and Turn 3 has 6 degrees of banking (inspired by The Milwaukee Mile). This unique layout, combined with three long straightaways of different lengths, makes car setup a significant challenge and creates a driving experience unlike any other. Pocono has been a staple on the NASCAR and IndyCar calendars for decades.
