Williams Grove Speedway is a hallowed ground for sprint car racing. Opened in 1939, this half-mile semi-banked clay oval in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is one of the most famous and historic dirt tracks in the country. It is the heartland of the 'Pennsylvania Posse,' the fiercely competitive local sprint car drivers who regularly battle and defeat the best national touring drivers. The track's long straights and tight corners demand a unique driving style. Williams Grove hosts weekly 410 Sprint Car races and is a key venue for the World of Outlaws, hosting major events like the Morgan Cup and the prestigious National Open, one of sprint car racing's crown jewel events.
