Southern National Motorsports Park is a high-banked, 4/10-mile paved oval in Lucama, North Carolina. Opened in 1993, it quickly established itself as one of the premier short tracks in the region. The track is known for its high speeds and thrilling racing, a result of its steep banking. It has hosted championship events for numerous touring series, including PASS, ASA, and the CARS Tour. After a period of closure from 2009 to 2011, the track was purchased and reopened in 2012, returning to its status as a NASCAR-sanctioned facility. It is the home of the prestigious Thanksgiving Classic, a major Late Model Stock Car event that attracts top competitors to close out the racing season.
