Track Details

Mount Panorama, located in Bathurst, New South Wales, is one of the most revered and feared racing circuits in the world. Uniquely, it is a public road for most of the year. The 6.213 km (3.861-mile) circuit was first carved out of the hillside as a scenic drive in 1938. The track is defined by its immense elevation change of 174 meters (571 feet) from its lowest to highest point. The lap begins with a long climb up the mountain through a series of tight, blind, concrete-lined corners before plunging back down through the high-speed esses and the ultra-fast Conrod Straight, which is punctuated by "The Chase" chicane. The circuit is home to Australia's most famous motor race, the Bathurst 1000 for Supercars, an event that stops the nation. It also hosts the Bathurst 12 Hour, a premier international GT endurance race.
