Homestead, Florida, USA (View on Map)
Built as a catalyst for economic recovery following the devastation of Hurricane Andrew, Homestead-Miami Speedway opened in 1995. The 1.5-mile oval has undergone several reconfigurations, with its current layout featuring unique progressive banking that increases from 18 degrees at the bottom to 20 degrees at the top of the turns. This design encourages multi-groove racing, allowing drivers to search for grip high against the outside wall or down low on the apron. From 2002 to 2019, the track had the prestigious honor of hosting NASCAR's Championship Weekend, where the champions of the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series were crowned in the final race of the season. Its South Beach-inspired art deco color scheme and palm trees give it a distinct South Florida flavor.
