Originally known as Twin Ring Motegi, Mobility Resort Motegi is a unique motorsports complex in Motegi, Japan, built by Honda in 1997. Its name derived from its original design, which featured two distinct tracks: a 1.549-mile, egg-shaped paved oval and a 2.983-mile European-style road course. The oval was built to help Honda develop its American open-wheel racing program and hosted IndyCar races from 1998 to 2011. The road course is the primary circuit today and is the long-time host of the Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP). The facility also includes the Honda Collection Hall, a museum showcasing Honda's racing and production vehicles. In 2022, the facility was renamed Mobility Resort Motegi to reflect its broader focus on mobility and nature-themed attractions alongside motorsport.
